AMAL MURKUS is a Palestinian singer & actress of international renown. Her extensive vocal range and versatile musical abilities enable her to sing in a wide variety of genres. Often known as the Voice of Palestine, Amal’s songs take inspiration from Palestinian folkloric themes as well as original compositions. She has created remarkable collaborations with other artists and international musicians, including Joan Baez, Mercedes Sosa, Oliver Shanti, Anouar Brahem, Stadio, Enzo Avitabile, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liverpool (UK) and many others. Amal has also completed projects with Palestinian poets Mahmoud Darwish and Samih al-Qasim. In 2001 Amal was chosen by Austrian TV as one of the most beautiful voices of the 20th century, after taking part in a music film produced by ARTE TV “Die Nacht der Primadonnen” by André Heller.| amalmurkus.org

ALESSANDRO SGOBBIO – Composer, pianist and producer Alessandro Sgobbio keeps expanding his own personal vocabulary of music compositions, improvisations and spiritual explorations. He has earned Master’s Degrees at the Parma Conservatory of Music in Italy and the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo – where he has studied with his mentor, renown composer pianist Misha Alperin. He has been voted one of the Best Talents of the Year by Musica Jazz Magazine and selected at the Martial Solal Piano Competition in Paris. Performing internationally as a soloist, with several duos featuring Amal Murkus, Senny Camara, Sarah-Jane Summers, Michele Rabbia & Christophe Marguet – in 2025 he releases “Piano Music 3” and participates to the soundtrack of Jen Marlowe’s documentary “Severed”. | alessandrosgobbio.it
